HonestEdge ("we", "our", "us") operates the website honestedge.org. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains clearly what information we collect (very little), how we use it, and your rights.

The short version: we do not collect, store, or sell any personal data. HonestEdge is a free tool-based website. There are no user accounts, no registration, and no tracking of individuals.

1. What Data We Collect

We collect essentially no personal data. Specifically:

• No accounts or registration — you do not need to create an account to use any tool on HonestEdge.
• No contact forms — we have no forms that ask for your name, email, or any personal details.
• No login or authentication — unless you are accessing the admin panel (for site owners only), no credentials are collected.
• No behavioural tracking — we do not use cookies to track your behaviour across sessions or across websites.

2. Local Storage (Trade Journal)

The Trade Journal feature stores your trade data exclusively in your browser's localStorage — a storage mechanism built into your browser that keeps data on your own device.

• Your journal entries never leave your device.
• We have no access to your journal data whatsoever.
• If you clear your browser data or use a different browser/device, your journal data will not transfer — it exists only locally.
• To export or back up your data, use the export feature in the journal.

No other tools on HonestEdge write to localStorage beyond what is strictly necessary for UI preferences (such as your preferred currency pair or dark/light settings).

3. Analytics

HonestEdge may use Vercel Analytics — a privacy-friendly analytics tool provided by Vercel, our hosting provider. Vercel Analytics is designed to be privacy-first:

• It does not use cookies.
• It does not fingerprint individual users.
• It collects only aggregated, anonymous page view data (e.g. which pages are visited, general location by country, device type).
• No personal information is linked to any analytics event.

4. Third-Party Services & Affiliate Links

Some links on HonestEdge — particularly on the Broker Comparison page — may be affiliate links. This means we may earn a small commission if you sign up with a broker through our link, at no extra cost to you.

• Clicking an affiliate link will take you to a third-party website (the broker's site). Their privacy policy governs data collected on their platform.
• We do not share any of your data with affiliate partners, because we do not collect any data in the first place.
• Our broker recommendations are based on our own assessment of their conditions — affiliate relationships do not influence our reviews.

The site also embeds widgets from TradingView (economic calendar). TradingView may set their own cookies or collect data according to their privacy policy at tradingview.com/privacy-policy.

5. Cookies

HonestEdge does not use cookies for tracking, advertising, or analytics purposes. The only cookie we set is a session cookie for the admin panel (accessible only to site owners) for authentication. This cookie is not set for regular visitors.

6. Children's Privacy

HonestEdge is intended for adults interested in forex and financial education. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 18. If you believe a child has accessed this site and provided personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of HonestEdge after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
